I was born in Saskatoon Saskatchewan, and raised in Medicine Hat. My parents were a veterinarian and a teacher. I have six younger brothers, and no sisters. There are still three of my brothers in Medicine Hat, and we regularly get together. After graduating from Crescent Heights High School, I worked for a few years in the packinghouse industry, and then began selling real estate. That was in 1976, and at that time, I was the youngest person to ever sell real estate in Medicine Hat. I was 23 years old. I have been selling real estate full time since then, working for just three companies in all that time. I have been with RE/MAX since 1990. I feel it gives my clients an edge to be with the strongest office in the market. There is a benefit to the client just in terms of the energy and drive of the people working to help satisfy their needs. The odds of a good outcome are increased, and often results are achieved more quickly. Over the years I have received numerous awards for my achievements, and that is always gratifying, but it is the relationships I have forged with the people I meet, and who become lifelong friends that means the most to me. Now, I am helping second generation clients to make their way through the real estate jungle, and that is really wonderful. I work hard to achieve results that are the best for the client—every client. I use technology for keeping track of the little details so that I can concentrate on getting results. I try to use every tool available to get the job done. I have always been committed to education. As soon as I attained my license, I entered the Primary Course in Real Estate, and after that I immediately took the Intermediate Course in Real Estate, and challenged and passed the broker’s licensing exam. Since then, I have been an advocate of continuing education for realtors, and upgrading and improving the pre-licensing course. I have been an instructor in the agent’s pre-licensing course, and have instructed every class held in Medicine Hat since it began in the early ‘90s. I have also taken a wide variety of courses over the years. My main goal has always been to improve my self and my abilities. I received the RE/MAX RRS designation in 2000, which enables me to serve corporate relocation clients more effectively. I have always found staying organized to be one of my bigger challenges, and with the many little details to be kept track of with each client, and each deal, real estate presents additional problems. In an attempt to keep track of everything, and to help me to provide superior service, I have gone into computers in a fairly big way, and make extensive use of the internet and emails to keep my clients informed. I find that with the hectic pace of today’s culture, it is very helpful. My goal is and always has been to provide my clients with the very best service possible. I hope you will call on me to assist you with your real estate needs.
